Head Start Preschool Program
- Free Head Start preschool (income eligibility applies)
- Children must be 3 by August 1 (children turning 3 after August 1 may enroll after their 3rd birthday) but must not yet be 5.
- Income eligibility guidelines apply.
- Foster children, those experiencing homelessness, and SNAP-eligible families qualify.
- Children on an IEP will be prioritized for enrollment.
- Class hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Center hours: 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
- Nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snack.
- Health and developmental screenings and referrals
- Well-rounded curriculum
- Family advocacy services
- Parent/family events
- Parents are encouraged to participate in Policy Council
- Field trips
- Formal kindergarten transition plan
Early Head Start and Child Care
- From 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily
- Infant/toddler classroom (6 weeks to 36 months)
- Nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snack
- Well-rounded curriculum
- Early Head Start for infants/toddlers.
- Income eligibility guidelines apply for Early Head Start slots.
- Department of Job and Family Services child care vouchers
- Parents are encouraged to participate in Policy Council
- Parent/family events
