
Free Early Head Start
A home-based option is available for expectant mothers and children ages 0 to 36 months. This program provides parents and/or caregivers and their children:
- Income eligibility guidelines apply
- Prenatal services for pregnant moms
- Weekly, 90-minute in-home visits
- Scheduled group socializations
- Nutritious meal and snack served on socialization days
- Parent training during socialization
- Family advocacy services
- Health and developmental screenings and referrals
- Transition planning and support to transition to classroom or preschool
- Guided by the research-based Partners for a Healthy Baby and Parents as Teachers
Free Head Start Preschool

Preschoolers may be eligible to enroll in a home-based option. This program provides parents and/or caregivers and their children:
- Income eligibility guidelines apply
- Weekly in-home visits
- Preschool curriculum
- Scheduled group socializations
- Nutritious meal and snack served on socialization days
- Parent trainings during the socialization time
- Family advocacy services
- Health and developmental screenings and referrals
- Support in transitioning children from home to preschool and/or kindergarten
