Parent trainings are open to Knox County parents and are funded by United Way of Knox County in partnership with Knox County Head Start, Inc.  A National Head Start Center of Excellence!

Conscious Discipline for Parents

Tuesday Evenings – September 10, 17, 24, October 1, 8, & 15 2019
6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
New Hope Early Education Center
11700 Upper Gilchrist Road, Mount Vernon

A six week, interactive parent training from Dr. Becky Bailey’s Conscious Discipline. Facilitated by Julie Mickley, Trained Conscious Discipline Provider.
Consider the questions below:

  • Would you like to learn new skills to help you respond instead of react to your child?
  • Do you feel like you give your power away to your child(ren)?
  • Would you like to explore more assertive language and setting clear boundaries?
  • Are you wanting to demonstrate more compassion with children/adults?
  • Would you like to build more self esteem and willpower in yourself and your child(ren)?

Answering yest to any of the above questions is the first step in beginning your CD Journey.

FREE Child Care & Dinner will be provided along with a $5 gift card for attending each session. Parents attending all six sessions will receive an additional $50  gift card. Transportation is available if needed by requesting it when registering.

Triple Ptriplep

Triple P has practical and simple strategies to help parents manage behavior, build strong family relationships and enjoy parenting more. Triple P isn’t just a single program. It’s flexible, to suit all kinds of families. You can choose face-to-face sessions, group courses, seminars or small one-time discussion groups. However you do Triple P, you’ll finish with your own toolbox of easy-to-use strategies that will help you feel more confident about managing your child or teenager’s behavior. Triple P in Knox County is part of the Knox Parent Support Initiative.
