School Age Services

Gambier Child Care Center provides fun, safe and educational care for children in kindergarten through fifth grade before school, after school, during most school vacations and calamity days. We use Creative Curriculum “Building the Primary Classroom” and Conscious Discipline as our school age curriculum. We primarily focus on physical activity, literacy, and assisting with homework.     The GCCC program serves children five days a week, Mondays-Fridays.

• Before school – 7:30 a.m. until school begins. Our teacher(s) will walk the children to Wiggin Street Elementary before school begins.
• After school – End of school day until 5:30 p.m. Our teacher(s) will meet children at Wiggin Street Elementary when school is dismissed and walk them back to the center.
• The center is open from 7:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.

Our School Age Program is structured and scheduled in conjunction with Kenyon College’s academic calendar in order to primarily support Kenyon employees.
